Schema markup validator

Check the JSON-LD on any page: syntax errors, schema.org types, and the required and recommended properties Google looks for before it shows rich results.

The schema markup validator finds every JSON-LD block on a page, reports syntax errors, and lists the schema.org types it contains. For the types Google uses for rich results, it checks the required and recommended properties.

Use it after you add structured data or when Search Console reports rich result errors. It covers Product, SoftwareApplication, Article, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Organization, LocalBusiness, Event, Recipe, VideoObject, JobPosting, Review and more.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Paste a URL

Enter any public page. We fetch the HTML the way a crawler does.

  2. Step 2

    We parse the JSON-LD

Every application/ld+json script is parsed, @graph arrays are expanded and nested items are checked too.

  3. Step 3

    Fix what is missing

Each item shows errors (required fields) and warnings (recommended fields) with the property names to add.

FAQ

What is the difference between errors and warnings?
Errors are properties Google requires for that rich result. Without them the item is not eligible. Warnings are recommended properties that can improve how the result looks.
Does valid schema guarantee rich results?
No. Valid markup makes a page eligible. Google still decides whether to show a rich result based on quality and the search.
Do you check Microdata and RDFa?
The validator reads JSON-LD, the format Google recommends. It counts Microdata items on the page so you know they exist, but does not validate their properties.
Why does Google say a field is missing when it is in my JSON?
Common causes are a typo in the property name, the field sitting on the wrong object, or a JSON syntax error that stops the whole block from parsing.
