How ListMySaaS scores SaaS listings
Every tool on ListMySaaS gets a score from 0 to 4. The score is a transparent, verifiable sum of six criteria. This page documents the rubric exactly as it runs in production.

Quick answer
A tool's score is the sum of six criteria: official website live (1), description and tags complete (1), logo present (0.5), badge verified (0.5), at least one related tool in the same category (0.5), and verified to still be live (0.5). Maximum score is 4. Score-0 tools are still listed but ranked below higher-scored tools in the directory.
The 6-criterion rubric
- Step 1
Verify the official website is live (1 point)
We confirm the tool's website URL resolves and renders. A 404, parked domain, or "coming soon" placeholder scores 0 on this criterion.
- Step 2
Verify description and tags are complete (1 point)
Description must be 50+ characters and free of placeholder copy. Tags must include at least 3 entries. We strip lorem-ipsum and auto-generated copy.
- Step 3
Verify a logo is present (0.5 points)
A square logo image uploaded at submit time, or auto-fetched from the vendor's favicon / Open Graph image.
- Step 4
Verify the badge is installed (0.5 points)
Tools that install the ListMySaaS verification badge on their homepage get 0.5 points. The badge is checked by crawling the vendor's homepage and looking for the embedded anchor.
- Step 5
Verify at least one related tool in the same category (0.5 points)
Tools filed in a category with at least one other live tool earn 0.5 points. This rewards directories that surface categories with multiple vendors, not solo entries.
- Step 6
Verify the listing is still live (0.5 points)
Every 24 hours we re-crawl each tool's website. If the website is offline, the listing is marked offline and the score drops. Score-0 tools are still listed but ranked last.

Editorial policy
- ListMySaaS accepts every legitimate SaaS submission. We do not remove listings without a reason.
- If a tool is sold, sunset, or reported as broken, we mark it offline and link to the successor.
- ListMySaaS does not allow paid placement to influence the score. Premium tier adds a homepage feature slot and a "Featured" badge; it does not change the rubric.
- The score is recomputed every 24 hours. Score changes propagate to the directory and to each tool's profile page within an hour.
- ListMySaaS is independent, founder-operated, and not affiliated with any of the listed vendors.
Spot an error in a profile?
ListMySaaS corrects factual errors on request. If you see a stale description, a misattributed category, or an offline site still listed as live, please contact us and we'll fix it.
